Clossing Statement

The 3rd International Conference on Agriculture and Bioindustry (ICAGRI) is an international conference that brings leading international academia, researchers, policymakers, professionals and stakeholders in the domain of interest from around the world together. Various issues related to Environmental Studies, Soil and Earth Science, Sustainable Agriculture, Agricultural Biotechnology, Agricultural Engineering, Food Science, Animal Husbandry, Biodiversity, Biomaterial and Bioindustry and were discussed to accelerate innovation and technology of resource-based food security and local wisdom.

The conference that organized by Agriculture Faculty, Universitas Syiah Kuala (USK) was held on October 13, 2021 in Banda Aceh, Indonesia. This year, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the conference was carried out in the form of virtual conference to avoid personnel gatherings. Nevertheless, we can see the enthusiasm of the participants from the number of papers we received. In total, we received 160 submitted papers through submission system, while 46 submission papers were rejected due to irrelevant topics. A total of 114 papers were accepted for presentations on the 3rd ICAGRI 2021. Selected papers were compiled into the proceeding after being reviewed rigorously.

The conference was not postponed since it has been scheduled and planned for last 6 months. It also related with tight schedule of keynote and invited speakers. Moreover, it is regularly requested by researchers from previous ICAGRI to perform the conference as planned. It was conducted using Zoom platform and lively broadcast through YouTube platform. The conference started by keynote speakers’ presentations, and followed by invited speakers and participant presentations. There was a discussion session after each presentation. We are greatly honored to have Prof. Dr. Ir. Dedi Nursyamsi, M.Agr (representative of minister of agriculture Republic Indonesia), Prof. Dr. Fátima Baptista (University of Évora and MED, Portugal) , Dr. Natsumi Kanzaki (Forestry and Forest Products Research Institute, Japan), Prof. Dr. Susanne Neugart (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany).

As the conference chair, we would like to thanks to the organizing committee, the international scientific committee, the reviewers, the editors, and the publisher for tremendous contribution on the 3rd ICAGRI 2021. We are expecting more experts and scholars from all over the world to join the next ICAGRI in 2022.

The International Conference on Agriculture and Bio-industry (ICAGRI 2021) conference brings together relevant field experts, professors, researchers, policy makers, postdoctoral fellows, and research students from around the world, providing them with opportunity to report, present, share, and discuss scientific questions, achievements, issues and challenges in the agricultural field. 

Advancement of agricultural research and its effective applications at farmer's fields through the transfer of technology and innovation provides opportunities to promote productivity growth and improved quality of agricultural products, which maintains the quality of the environment and other sustainable aspects as well. Many factors influencing the adoption of agricultural technologies and innovations should be considered, such as production inputs, biological control, agricultural tools and machinery, agricultural product development, bioenergy and the environment.

This 3^rd ICAGRI measures in 13-14 October 2021 will facilitate networking, be able to exchange information and experimental results, discuss challenges encountered and solutions adopted and have opportunities to establish productive new academic and agricultural sectors collaborations. Therefore, it is our great pleasure to welcome you on behalf of the 3^rd ICAGRI organizing committee, and to invite you to attend the ICAGRI to be hosted in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, by the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Syiah Kuala. The objective of this conference is not only to elaborate between academicians and practitioners around the world in the agricultural and bio industrial fields, but also to exhibit the history and culture of Aceh.

This conference is highly exciting and challenging and is intended to be a forum for the international community and stakeholders for discussion, ideas exchange, building and strengthening the connection and partnership, and sharing the achievement of the work. The conference invites academics, researches, policymakers, professional and other stakeholders to give opportunities to meet establish networking among participants as well as to increase of the importance of living and working in a manner that enhance the economic, environmental and social well being of our community and share the achievement of the work.  The official language of the conference is in English and expected delegates from around the world to participate and attend the conference.

All accepted and presented in the 3rd ICAGRI 2021 will be published in IOP Conference Series: Earth and Environmental Science Indexed by Scopus.

Prospective authors are encouraged to submit full papers describing original and unpublished results of conceptual, constructive, empirical, experimental, computational or theoretical works in 10 scopes of the 3^rd ICAGRI 2021. All papers submitted to this conference must be original contributions that are not currently submitted to any other conference, workshop, or journal during the review process.

Method of Submission:

1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another conference for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Director).
2. The paper should within ICAGRI 2021 scopes. ICAGRI scopes: sustainable agriculture, agricultural biotechnology, biodiversity, biomaterial and bioindustry, environmental studies, soil and earth sciences, food sciences, animal husbandry, forestry, and agricultural engineering.
3. Plagiarism checked (similarity level less than 20%)
4. A length of submitted paper at least 6 pages and no more than 10 pages including all text, figures and references using IOP Conference template provided
5. There are no page numbers, or headers and footers, within the paper.
6. Paper should be written in English. All manuscripts must be free from grammatical, spelling, and/or punctuation errors and it is the responsibility of authors to ensure that the paper has been thoroughly edited and proofread before submission
7. Authors should prepared their documents using MS Word in *.doc. or *.docx format (not in pdf format) in the following link: http://icagri.unsyiah.ac.id/images/icagri2021/IOP_template_ICAGRI2021.docx
8. Corresponding author is responsible for all contents in the submitted paper including details of other authors.
9. ICAGRI uses Unsyiah Open Conference System (OCS) management for papers submission and review. Therefore, corresponding author must register and submit the papers on the following link: http://conference.unsyiah.ac.id/ICAGRI/icagri2021
10. To submit a paper, the author needs to log in as an author. From the author console, click on “Create new submission”. After completing the form, the paper must be uploaded and click on “Submit” to finish the process.
